Jamie began his career at Xerox and was fast-tracked to management, becoming one of the youngest Team Leads at the company. In 2012, he was recognized by management and his peers with the company's Leadership Award, acknowledging his accountability, professionalism and integrity. With a preference for wealth management over the transactional photocopier business, Jamie joined Newport Private Wealth in 2013. In his current role, he works with our portfolio management team and their clients, assisting in developing solutions to help better manage wealth.
Jamie is a holder of the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation, and a business graduate from The University of Western Ontario. During his undergrad at Western, he fine-tuned his relationship skills through courses like Behavioural Finance, Public Speaking and Consumer Behaviour while applying his finance background as a member of Western's Investment Club.
A two-time captain of the Toronto City Hockey Championship and a competitive Ontario Amateur golfer, Jamie's athletic career now consists of avoiding injury at men's recreational hockey and scrambling to get "up-and-down" for par on the golf course. Jamie was introduced to the importance of philanthropy at an early age. He is an avid supporter of The Yellow Bus Foundation, a charity supporting several local youth initiatives. Born and raised in Toronto, Jamie lives with his wife, and high-school sweetheart, in the city's west end.
