As a Portfolio Manager, Jansen assists clients in developing portfolio strategies to best realize clients’ long-term financial goals. He also sits with the Newport Private Wealth Investment Committee, which provides the investment strategy and execution for the firm's clients.
Previously, Jansen was at Scotia Capital where he worked closely with North American family offices, pension funds, foundations, endowments and other investment advisors on their respective portfolio strategies. While at Scotia Capital, Jansen frequently reviewed and analyzed various investment opportunities from many of North America’s top hedge fund managers. In so doing, Jansen developed an impressive framework from which to evaluate existing investment opportunities.
Jansen holds a Masters of Business Administration from The Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto as well as a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Queen’s University.
While working toward his degrees, Jansen quarterbacked the Queen’s Golden Gaels and Toronto Varsity Blues. He remains involved in football as a volunteer head coach with the Toronto Junior Argonauts. He also enjoys golf, cycling, tennis and snowboarding.
