Originally from Orillia, Ontario, Kyle's interest in the financial markets started at a young age. "My dad would read the business section at the breakfast table and I recall, at a young age, being fascinated by the very idea of the stock market. While I was confused at first, I was determined to make sense of that section of the newspaper."
This curiosity propelled Kyle on a long and diverse career that started on Wall Street with Credit Suisse in 1999, upon completion of his undergraduate degree at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, where he captained the varsity golf team.
"I had the opportunity to assist large corporations raise capital and I spent nearly a decade on institutional equity desks at UBS and Canaccord Genuity where I worked with large alternative and traditional asset managers. A few years ago I realized that this experience would be best put to use helping individuals and families secure their wealth management goals."
Kyle joined Newport Private Wealth in 2016 after working as an Investment Advisor for CIBC Wood Gundy. He cites "the depth of talent, the breadth of experience, the brand, and above all else, Newport's commitment to its clients" as the key reasons for his move.
Kyle obtained his MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business in 2004 and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2007. When not working, Kyle still enjoys golfing, along with skiing and spending time with his wife and three busy children.
